Mar. 26--In a tight health-care labor market, encouraging every employee to be a recruiter is crucial, Virginia Rose says.
"We `incentivize' our employees. We give them referral bonuses for any recruit that they bring into the organization," said Ms. Rose, vice president of human resources for Medical City Dallas Hospital. "We found that 86 percent of our new hires come from referrals from our own employees."
