What's a giant TV set doing driving around the city on a sidecar? Funny you should ask. When the Ultimate TV division of Microsoft (www.ultimatetv.com) decided to use a fleet of sidecars for promotion, it was a return to an old tradition, now all but forgotten.
During the '20s and '30s, before the ubiquitous white van took over all small-scale commercial deliveries, the sidecar was one of the most popular forms of delivery vehicle. It was small, so it could be parked almost anywhere.
