Mar. 30--Companies have begun warning at the most intense pace in years that their businesses are heading into the dumps. The warnings are likely to accelerate in coming weeks, keeping pressure on the stock market.
At least 662 companies have warned that their financial results for the first three months this year will fall short of Wall Street's expectations. That number is 31 percent more than in the already-slumping...
