Mar. 30--FORT WORTH, Texas--The NASCAR Winston Cup race at the Texas Motor Speedway ranked sixth in economic impact among all U.S. sporting events last year, generating more business than even the Kentucky Derby, according to a study released Thursday.
The DirecTV 500 generated $165.2 million in business for the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to research by SportsBusiness Journal.
