Apr. 11--Two years after newsman Lou Dobbs abruptly left CNN to head a dot-com start-up, network executives yesterday showered him with praise as they welcomed him back as anchor of its ailing "Moneyline News Hour."
Dobbs, who presided over the broadcast when it was the ratings leader in cable business news, has agreed to a five-year deal that will put him back on the show May 14 as sole anchor and managing editor.
But this time, Dobbs -- who previously was also president of CNNfn, the financial news network -- will not have a formal management role.
