Apr. 10--Amazon.com managed a rare feat in the downtrodden Internet sector yesterday -- an upward revision to its sales forecasts that sent its stock soaring.

The No. 1 online retailer said its strongest growth is coming from consumer electronics and international sales, far from its early foundation of books, CDs and videos.
