Apr. 26--An AutoNation dealership in California has agreed to pay $2.6 million in fines and restitution to settle complaints that it defrauded and deceived about 1,500 car buyers.
AutoNation's Gunderson Chevrolet, in El Monte, Calif., also had its showroom shuttered for six days and its license placed on probation for four years as part of a settlement with the California Department of Motor Vehicles.
