GRAND FORKS, N.D. _ Local emergency management officials appeared unfazed Tuesday as they announced updated flood projections for Grand Forks and East Grand Forks that called for increases from previous outlooks.
The newest crest projection from the National Weather Service for the Red River's measuring station in East Grand Forks is 48 to 50 feet April 18-19.
That compares with the weather service's last projection of between 43 to 45 feet expected over the same time frame.
As of 9:30 p.m. CST Tuesday, the Red River at East Grand Forks was measured at 44.16 feet.
