Apr. 19--AOL Time Warner, the world's biggest Internet and media company, released strong financial results yesterday, proving it could still strut despite the weakening economy.
The home of Time magazine, CNN, "The Sopranos," Looney Tunes and Madonna said its first-quarter operating profits surged 20 percent to $2.1 billion, driven by red-hot growth at America Online and at its cable systems.
