Apr. 25--The 3,100 unionized workers at Jackson Memorial Hospital have ratified a three-year job contract that gives pharmacists and registered nurses raises of at least 19 percent in an effort to keep them from leaving for more lucrative jobs.
Employees at the Miami hospital, its 13 satellite medical centers and seven county jail clinics overwhelmingly ratified the contract in voting that ended Monday night.
