Apr. 25--Marketing executives from online travel site Expedia and newcomer Orbitz crossed swords Tuesday at Jupiter Media Metrix's e-travel conference in Miami, betraying the ongoing feud between existing Internet travel sites and their newest competitor, which is set to launch in June.
Orbitz, owned by Continental, American, Northwest, Delta and United airlines, has been under fire from consumer groups, travel agents and online travel sites since it was announced a year and a half ago.
