Apr. 24--Following owner Rupert Murdoch's unhappiness with the direction of the New York Post, editor Xana Antunes was bounced yesterday after just a year and a half on the job.
Col Allan -- a 47-year-old Australian newspaper editor who's remembered for being on the losing end of a few barroom dust-ups during his earlier stint as a New York-based correspondent -- was named editor in chief, the paper's third top editor in the past two years.
