Apr. 23--The next few months will test fast-growing Miramar's preparations for the summer growth spurt it expects. Several large companies lured to the city over the past year will set up shop, bringing in more than 1,000 new employees.

AT&T is scheduled to open its call center in western Miramar at the end of the month. Lucent Technologies and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines are slated to arrive this summer, bringing an additional 2,600 cars a day. The Miramar Park of Commerce will enter a new phase of development in May or June, gearing up for more businesses to come.
