Apr. 23--QUESTION: Our organization coordinates trips to raise funds. For years, travelers have made their checks out to the organization without a problem. A new board member is suggesting that this practice increases our liability and that we should have people make the checks out to the cruise line instead. Some people on our board are concerned that if we institute such a change it will be harder to promote the trips. We know that some people claim their trip as a donation.
