Apr. 30--WINN-DIXIE TAKES A SHOT AT LIQUOR-STORE BUSINESS: Looking for ways to lure more customers, Winn-Dixie Stores is getting into the liquor business.
The grocery chain last week opened its first South Florida store with a fully stocked liquor store, including a separate entrance. The Davie location at Hiatus Road and State Road 84 is only the chain's third.
