Apr. 27--NEWSWEEK EDITORS FACED a chorus of second-guessing yesterday for seeming to let another major story get away from them.
Gregory Vistica was based in Newsweek's Washington bureau when editors decided not to run his account of how former Sen. Bob Kerrey had led a military unit in Vietnam that caused the deaths of women and children in 1969.
Vistica later left Newsweek and took his story to The New York Times Magazine and CBS' "60 Minutes II," whose plans to present his work next week prompted Kerrey to go...
