May 11--Thomas C. Farnsworth Jr., real estate developer of office and distribution space in Memphis, received the "Excellence in Real Estate Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Memphis Chapter of Lambda Alpha International.

The award is the highest given annually by the professional business fraternity.

James E. McGehee Jr., owner of McGehee Realty and Development Co., won the award last year. Davant Latham, president of Lambda Alpha, presented the award to Farnsworth at the group's annual dinner meeting Thursday night at the Dixon Gallery and Garden.
