Ventura County, Calif., Fair Offers One Way for Would-Be Workers to Find Jobs.

May 22--A year ago, employers had trouble trying to fill all their vacant job positions as many workers were still gainfully employed in the dot-com sector.

This year, would-be employees will have to be more proactive and hit the pavement, send in resumes and attend job fairs if they hope to land a job, employment officials reported.

"I have spoken to a few people this year who didn't have a thrilling experience in the dot-com sector," said Don Rodman, a partnered staffing manager for Ventura County for Kelly Services in Thousand Oaks.

Rodman's company will be one of a number of firms that will be participating in the Ventura County Star's Job Fair …
