May 22--No matter how much Microsoft improves Windows, there are always features that irritate users.

Every week, it seems, readers ask me how to avoid having to sign in every time Windows opens. Many users also hate how fast the Start and right-click menus pop up, how fast their mouse scrolls and how often their computer beeps.
