May 18--AOL Time Warner CEO Gerald Levin wants to be New York's one and only cable guy.

If Levin had his way, the city's two cable giants -- Time Warner Cable and Cablevision -- would link up to create one cable TV force serving the entire metro area, the media mogul said yesterday.

"It makes a lot of sense to put these cable systems together," Levin told reporters after the company's packed annual meeting yesterday at Harlem's historic Apollo Theatre.
