May 30--Food and energy are easy to understand -- and that's why market strategists believe these sectors can help fuel a rebound in the nearly out-of-gas market for initial public stock offerings.
Though battle-scarred, investors are still "willing to spend on IPO shares as long as the company is easy to evaluate in terms of a tangible product, customer demand and competitors," said Kyle Huske, a research analyst at IPO.com.
Take P&L Coal, also known as Peabody Energy. This Missouri-based coal company soared 33 percent in its Wall Street coming-out last Tuesday.
