May 30--Their target audiences are obvious, revealed in the names of their publications.
Weekly News Korea. Dallas Chinese News. Vietnam Weekly News.
These newspapers and other media outlets hope to capitalize on North Texas' burgeoning Asian population, from the influx of Chinese settling in Richardson to the growing number of people from India locating in Irving.
The area's Asian growth is evident by the two dozen or so media outlets -- primarily newspapers -- that tackle Asian and Asian-American issues and provide news from the homeland.
A majority of the newspapers are nationally circulated publications that include North Texas news. Some are locally owned.
