May 27--Most Dallas-area high-tech workers haven't seen significant salary hikes in the last few months, and many have had to accept less pay than they used to make, human resource officials say.

"There was a person that we just placed into a position yesterday that had one year of experience ... and was making $65,000 plus a pretty healthy bonus with a large telecom manufacturer in Dallas," said Jon Davis, director of the affirmative placement division in the Dallas office of IT recruiting firm Matrix Resources Inc. "And as that company realigned itself, it closed that line of business, and he was laid off.
