May 26--AUSTIN, Texas--Legislation aimed at cutting injured workers' medical costs and prohibiting employers from forcing employees to sign "pre-injury" waivers won final approval Friday in the Texas House.

The bill contains several measures designed to encourage more companies to enroll in the state workers' compensation insurance system while at the same time adding services for employers that supporters believe will reduce medical and insurance costs.
