May 26--Texas agricultural officials said they are comfortable with a Bush administration decision Friday to ease a ban on European pork imports imposed two months ago after a foot-and-mouth disease outbreak.
The Agriculture Department said it would allow pork imports to resume from countries free of the disease, including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.
The ban remains in effect...
