Jun. 1--HARTFORD, Conn.--One of the state's largest law and lobbying firms will soon have a presence in New London.

Robinson & Cole, a major commercial law firm founded in 1845, plans to open a 1,600-square-foot office at 63 Eugene O'Neill Drive on June 8. New London becomes the firm's sixth office, joining Hartford, Stamford, Greenwich, Boston and New York City.

The firm also announced the appointment of New London attorney Timothy D.

Bates. Bates has primarily practiced planning and zoning, and municipal law in southeastern Connecticut since 1977. He joins Robinson & Cole's Land Use and Environmental Group and will …
