LOS ANGELES _ Jennifer Jason Leigh takes a drag of her American Independent cigarette and looks rather disdainfully at it as she's reminded that she stopped smoking years ago when she was doing the turn-of-the-century period movie "Washington Square," when even radical outspoken women didn't smoke.
