Jul. 30--The Youngstown Business Incubator has been turned down for more funding to increase its support for information technology businesses.

The Ohio IT Alliance rejected its request for $250,000 a year.

The only state funding this area receives for development of high-tech businesses is the $200,000 the state gives the incubator for its operations, said James Cossler, incubator director.

That is not enough funding for this area to be successful in building a strong community of high-tech businesses, he said.
