At last it is good to see financial controllers, heads of finance and others in that tier getting the rewards they deserve.
Lately it has seemed that any new appointment of a finance director has been a lateral move.
How cheering then to see Ian Griffiths, Emap's financial controller, being given a crack of the whip as the publishing group's stand-in finance director.
