Feb. 18--WASHINGTON -- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) yesterday accused Gov. Pataki of foot-dragging on voting-machine reforms aimed at preventing another 2000 presidential ballot fiasco.
In a press conference flanked by Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), last year's losing Democratic standard-bearer, Clinton said Pataki has cost the state millions in federal funds by not getting election machinery into compliance with the Help America Vote Act.
"I have been quite disappointed the way the governor has gone about implementing HAVA," Clinton said.
