Feb. 15--Thespians will be better lit and students will surf faster after the Amarillo Independent School District board moved forward on lighting projects at middle school campuses and provided for Ethernet access at all campuses during Monday's meeting.

The stage lighting upgrades for three middle schools were part of the bond plan approved by voters in 2003, but school officials learned they could expand the project to all middle school campuses and Carver Elementary Academy and still be under the project budget.
