Alaska faces high rate of fraud filings.

Feb. 10--Alaska had the second highest per-capita rate of consumer fraud complaints in the nation last year, according to a Federal Trade Commission report on fraud and identity theft.

In all, the agency logged 1,143 fraud complaints from Alaskans last year, nearly a quarter of which were related to "foreign money offers," the agency said. If you have an e-mail account, chances are you've received one of these "offers" yourself.
