Feb. 10--JPL Productions is a cool place to work. You only have to gaze upon Michael Horgan, the founder and executive chairman.

Looking somewhat like a cross between rock musician Gregg Allman and Gandalf from "Lord of the Rings," the 48-year-old Horgan believes work should be a place for fun, as well as creativity. That spirit is reflected in JPL's new headquarters at 471 JPLwick Drive in Swatara Twp., on the former AMP Inc. campus near Harrisburg.

The company is one of the larger video, audio, Internet and multimedia production houses in central Pennsylvania.

The cafeteria has a Hard Rock Cafe motif, with various employee relics mounted on the wall. An employee art gallery, with rotating exhibits, is in a room off the cafeteria. …
