Feb. 10--Four separate civil lawsuits have been filed against alleged e-mail spammers by Atlanta-based EarthLink.

The Internet provider filed the lawsuits Jan. 18 but announced the filings Wednesday. The lawsuits name defendants in California, Florida and Washington, as well as unidentified defendants.

The California suit charges Gregory Lars Alsing with sending "fraudulent e-mails ... advertising cable descramblers."

In Florida, B.C. Alliance of Sunrise and Craig S. Brockwell of Miami were accused of sending deceptive e-mails for inkjet printers. …
