Feb. 4--Jim Kollaer, who is leaving the Greater Houston Partnership as its president and chief executive at year's end, said he's decided it's time for a new career.
The partnership will be writing a new strategic plan and really needs an executive who can stay for five to 10 years, said Kollaer, who is 62 and has been leading the partnership for the past 15 years.
The partnership will begin a national search that should last six to eight months. Until then Kollaer will stay while keeping an eye out for a new job.
