Feb. 4--SOUTHLAKE -- Sabre Holdings reported $21 million in net income last quarter as demand for travel increased and the Southlake company kept operating costs under control.
The fourth-quarter profit was a significant turnaround from the company's $13.8 million loss in the same quarter last year. Revenue also grew 6 percent to $495.9 million compared with $467.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2003.
"We successfully executed on the plan we laid out in the beginning of 2004," said Sam Gilliland, Sabre's chief executive.
