JACKSONVILLE, Fla. _ Dynasty? Did somebody mention the word dynasty?
Well, perhaps. But not very loud and certainly not in the presence of New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick or his veteran players.
How's a team supposed to develop a proper underdog mentality for Super Bowl XXXIX when it has been established as a seven-point favorite against Philadelphia and now has to listen to this dynasty buzz?
So the Patriots are having none of it.
Although they have won two of the past three Super Bowls and will have a chance to make it two in a row Sunday against the Eagles, Belichick says a championship is a one-year-at-a-time thing.
``We're not defending anything,'' he said Monday. ``This year we started the season with the same record everybody else did; we're trying to get to the same point everybody else was, and that's it.
