BLOOMINGTON, Ind. _ Terry Hoeppner wears the bowl watch, but not the bowl ring. He's a believer. He'll wait for his Hoosiers.

"There's an emptiness there," the Indiana football coach says. "I want to put one on with my team here."

Hoeppner went to bowl games the last two years at Miami of Ohio. He insists he'll do the same with the Hoosiers, to the reward of all. "Rings and watches are symbols of success. I want our guys to have them."
