HOUSTON _ TCU point guard Natasha Lacy had a swollen right ankle and spent the past week walking in a protective boot.
But there was no way she was going to miss Sunday's game against Houston.
"Not a chance," Lacy said. "I couldn't miss this one."
Not in a rivalry. Not in a game for state bragging rights. Not when Houston had won three straight over the Lady Frogs.
Playing in front of 1,386 Houston fans jeering the Lady Frogs at Hofheinz Pavilion, Lacy shrugged off the pain in her ankle and helped her team end its drought against the Lady Cougars with a 63-55 victory.
The Lady Frogs used a 17-5 run over the final 10 minutes of the second half to pull away and beat their chief rivals.
