TORONTO _ The matchups told the story in advance.
Steve Nash was pitted against journeyman Milt Palacio. Quentin Richardson guarded Morris Peterson while Shawn Marion covered somebody named Rafael Araujo.
The result was a Suns blowout, a rarity lately, a 123-105 breather over the Raptors at Air Canada Centre Sunday.
The only reason the Suns didn't blow the Raptors out earlier was that Amare Stoudemire, Joe Johnson and Jim Jackson all picked up three early fouls, forcing the Suns to scramble their lineup. They shot a modest 44 percent yet still led 58-46 at the half, so the Suns figured they were in good shape.
Then, with their starters back on the floor, they exploded for 46 points in the third quarter and took leads of up to 34 points.
Stoudemire had 19 points in just seven minutes of the period.
