Jan. 28--Broward schools have met many of the goals set five years ago by a landmark racial equity lawsuit, according to a school district report released Wednesday.
The 2000 settlement doesn't specifically address the still-large gaps in test scores among racial groups. Instead, it focuses on concrete steps the school district can take to make sure all students have equal resources, such as Advanced Placement classes, media centers and technology.
