Jan. 28--Christian Community Action's Raymond Bandy Medical Clinic has expanded its offerings to people in need with a new dental clinic and low-cost eyeglasses.

The Lewisville nonprofit recently had an open house to celebrate the fall opening of the dental clinic, which operates on Fridays. And as of this week, it began offering most eyeglasses for less than $20. "There are a lot of people out there falling through the cracks," said the eye clinic's volunteer optometrist, Mark Welding of Flower Mound Eyecare Associates.
