Jan. 28--Ford Motor Co. is recalling 792,000 of some of its most popular trucks and SUVs amid growing reports that a defective cruise-control switch is causing parked vehicles to burst into flames, the company said.
The voluntary recall is for model 2000 Ford F-150s, Expeditions and Lincoln Navigators; and model 2001 F-Series Supercrew trucks with cruise control. The Ford F-150 is the nation's bestselling pickup truck.
The government is not ruling out that other Ford vehicles might be affected by the problem.
