Tresierras targets Oxnard with new store.

Jan. 27--Tresierras Supermarkets, an ethnic grocery chain that has targeted Southern California's vast Latino population since 1944, is scheduled to open its first store in Oxnard on Saturday.

The 24,000-square-foot store, Tresierras' third Ventura County location, is at 133 W. Pleasant Valley Road. The building housed the Oxnard Ranch Market until it closed in March.

Tresierras opened a Camarillo store in December and has had another store in Santa Paula since 1997. The family-owned company also has four Los Angeles-area stores, with plans to open a fifth in Santa Clarita this summer.
