FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. _ No one in the Marlins organization seemed to mind being an afterthought last spring training. In spite of their World Series victory, the Marlins in many preseason publications were slotted to finish third in their division.
From owner Jeffrey Loria to manager Jack McKeon to most of the field personnel, no one had any misgivings about filing another under-the-radar flight plan.
