Jan. 23--SORT OF A MUSICAL CAFETERIA: The space formerly occupied by Piccadilly Cafeteria in the Tallahassee Mall will be a music lovers' paradise by May.
That's the ambiance the California-based Guitar Center officials say they bring when they open a new location.
"Our stores are designed with the musician in mind," said Guitar Center's Michael Margolis, who designs each store's layout. "We try to make them intimate."
So, don't expect to see a warehouse of musical instruments reminiscent of a "big box" retailer such as Wal-Mart, company officials say. …
