Rainbow residents show interest in Planning Group.

Jan. 22--RAINBOW -- For about a year, the Rainbow Planning Group had too many vacant seats and not enough community residents willing to fill the vacancies.

Now, there's a host of Rainbow residents who want to serve on the rural community's land-use advisory panel to the county -- and not enough seats.

Planning Group leaders have received applications from 14 Rainbow residents so far for the 13 available seats.

This comes after a county official has recommended that Rainbow's planning group be converted to a sponsor group to improve representation. …
