Jan. 25--SMALL CONTRACT A BIG DEAL FOR AIRLINE: It won't save the overhaul base long-term, but Gordon Clark will take it.
Clark has headed the mechanics union for American Airlines in Kansas City for about 18 months, and the entire time has been turmoil for the airline industry. Clark has been involved in one battle after another to try to keep the maintenance facility at Kansas City International Airport operating.
Last week, Clark said American reported that it has secured a small contract to do some maintenance work for Capital Cargo International Airlines. …
