Jan. 25--Francesco Caio, chief executive of Cable & Wireless, demonstrated today the extent of the turnaround job he has been set with another quarter of sliding revenues, particularly in Britain.

Caio said the group's results in the third quarter to end-December "contain no surprises and demonstrate solid progress in the transformation of our business".

In mid-November he announced another 600 job cuts, taking the total over the last two years to nearly 5000, and a major shake-up of senior management.
