Jan. 24--You should be getting your W-2 form from your employer within the next week, if you haven't already, and you're probably considering hiring a professional to do your tax return.
The complexity of the income tax laws has sent Americans fleeing to tax professionals.
Fifty-five percent of individual returns filed in Texas in 2003 were done by a paid preparer, according to the Internal Revenue Service.
That's up from 51 percent in 2001.
